What is Low Vision?
Low Vision is a condition where a person has decreased vision due to the decreased ability to see detail or decreased field of vision or both. It may be something the person was born with or it developed over time such as retinitis pigmentosa. Often it is due to a disease such as macular degeneration or diabetes. Sometimes it is due to a stroke (CVA) or head trauma. In all cases when a person with a vision impairment desires to improve their vision there are many options available. Don't let anyone say "there is nothing more that can be done!"
